Tribeca - the car, not the neighborhood in NYC
The 2006 Subaru Tribeca is almost within reach. I just have to mention this. It is the new SUV from Subaru, available with 5 or 7 passenger seating configurations. Karl will have to wear a diaper when the damn thing arrives. So cute.

Memorial day weekend this year entails a trip to NYC. We will be staying at our friends who have a place in the West Village. I will have my phone and my camera, so i'll plaster lots of pictures. One of our most important stops is
Fetch, a pet store near Chelsea Piers. We have to grab a few knitted cat toys. They are Squiddle's favorite.
This is why people always told me not to take things for granted
I found out yesterday that my uncle, who i'm really not that close with, has lung cancer. The cancer is not only pretty severe, but has spread to other parts of his body. His liver, lymph nodes and who knows where else. He has been smoking since he was fifteen years old. I guess that is why people always tell me not to smoke. It is much different when it hits so close to home. Even though he is 2000 miles away in Las Vegas, I felt a lump in my throat. This is just crazy.

I was on my way into work this morning listening to the DMB CD that Karl purchased for me yesterday at Starbucks. The lyrics from one of the songs just struck me, it was almost like seeing the light - "an eye for an eye is not the golden rule, it leaves a room full of blind men." That is the absolute truth.
it's been a while
I thought I had posted an entry after 3.17, but apparently not. I got another car. I will post pictures of it tonight.
