Early in the am at the Eldred Preserve. You can see the fog rolling off of the water. It was really beautiful.
Mozzletoff
I don't know if that is how to spell it but this past weekend was interesting to say the least. We were holed up in a fishing lodge, if you will. The Eldred Preserve, aka the kind of place you'd see some old hick with a gone fishin' sign. The wedding was short and sweet, much less formal than a christian wedding.Today we had our thirty day review at work. In my new accounting position I am responsible for closing deals, manipulating numbers and then getting all of that nonsense to balance back to zero. It gets quite confusing trying to move money from account to account.
I extended an invitation to my parents to come for dinner this Friday. I need ideas on what to make. I was thinking tomatoes, basil and mozzarella with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for an appetizer. To top it all off, some sort of red meat along with vegetables or perhaps a salad. We'll see.

Good Deed Mouse
I don't want to brag about it any more than necessary but I feel good about myself after what I did this morning. It all stemed from an incident that Karl had on the expressway the second day after starting his job at Van Bortel. A stupid ass deer thought it would be a good idea to run out in front of my first car (a 1986 Subaru GL Wagon) and total the damn thing. Karl had forgot to bring his cell phone with him that night, so he was shit out of luck until someone stopped and offered to help him 2 hours later.I saw a Ford Aspire, a beautiful car mind you, billowing smoke by the side of the road. When some of the smoke cleared I saw a woman getting out of the car and I just couldn't keep on driving. I thought about the night Karl was stranded and how that woman would probably end up waiting until a popo drove by. Fat chance, the only thing they do is pull people over and give them tickets. So I stopped and offered to help her with a phone call or a ride. Sure enough she worked right in Victor and I dropped her at work. I don't often get a chance to do things like that so I felt really good about it.
New picture, isn't she a cute girl too!

Don't DO dat!
Since I can't figure out how the hell to post a regular entry along with a picture, I have to do a separate entry so it doesn't caption the whole thing.I got an instant message from one of my good friends from Niagara University tonight. Lauren is one of those crazy crazy girls that has booked a flight to Ra Cha Cha. She will be terrorizing us here November 18th-November 21st. It has been more than a year and we have quite a bit of catching up to do.

Hmm
It was quite a cold weekend here in good old Rochester. It was a kick back and relax couple of days. Sunday brought quite a humbling experience. Out of the blue Sunday morning Karl told me he had an inkling to go and visit his father's grave. He couldn't really explain the feeling.Without a second thought, we were on our way to Kane, PA, about 175 miles south of Rochester. It was actually a really nice drive. The leaves were putting on a beautiful show and the traffic wasn't too bad. We arrived in Kane, which I was told didn't even have a traffic light. To both of our surprise within the last 3 years since Karl's vivist, a traffic light had been erected. It really was quite a depressed area and when we went to eat the the local diner, it was even more apparent when people acknowledged each other by name.
At the cemetary it was pretty serene, tombstones dotted the landscape while the leaves fell lazily to the ground. We payed our respects and talked for a bit, then headed back into town to bring back some flowers. I was happy to be there for him, knowing it would be a hard thing to deal with alone.

Octoberfest
It is finally that time of year again. The days get longer, the nights cooler. The flashy red and orange hues of the falling leaves seem to the days a little less stressful. All of this paves way for winter, indeed the best time of the year. For once I am sort of in a reflective mood. I have been thinking about many things lately. Some of those being my job and relationship and how much has changed over the past couple of years in my life. Since I have met Karl there has been such a noticeable change to me in the way that I live my life. I have someone to come home to and for once a job that I actually enjoy waking up in the morning for. I don't have a problem working overtime and I like my coworkers. Things are going really well and I really couldn't be happier.
