Busy

Sorry people, it's been quite a while. Busy month end and new training going on at work. I got a promotion to the accounting only area. I love it and hope that it opens new doors.

Ain't she cute, the Subaru comes in 16 years!

Funny

My friend Beth's away message regarding our obsession with Subarus and what baby Natalie will have to say when she is of age:

"Uncle Karl Unlce Karl buy me an Impreza WRX sports wagon with automatic climate control, cargo area cover, leather interior and 227-hp intercooled turbo boxer engine!! Woooaaaa"

Too bad you can't get leather interior in a WRX, Beth!

I was watching CSI: Las Vegas tonight and happend upon one of my favorite episodes. The one about the human who has two DNA's, also known as a Chimera. What a cool name. Here's the picture.

You're a big homo

So I finally did it. I told my dad yesterday that I was gay. I hadn't talked to him in about a month and out of the blue he calls me at work and asks me for a ride. I decide to do it. On the ride home he again asked me if I was living with my mother. I said well sort of and it just came out. I told him about my sexuality and him being the stupid idiot that he is, he said does that mean you like boys better than girls? I didn't really go into great detail because I did not want to waste my time. I dropped him at his car and that was it.

I talked to my sister today, who is living with my dad. She said that he was asking her about me and said that "gay people are fucked up," and "I will tell that to your brother's face". That is really the last straw. The very reason I haven't told him about me for the past 2 years. Oh well, no skin off my back.

Uh huh

It actually turned out to be quite a nice weekend. The weather was just perfect, sunny and 70 both days. Sunday was spent at the Clothsline Art Festival at the Memorial Art Gallery. We (Subaru) had a booth there with a new 2005 Outback and of course lesbian after lesbian was drooling all over it.

I spent a majority of the day Saturday with my mom, Hilary and Natalie doing girlie type things. We went to the craft store to pick out patterns for a new snowsuit for Natalie. All in all we were there for about 2 and a half hours - a long time. For dinner Karl and Beth and Hilary and everyone had dinner in the mosquito infested backyard of my parents. I hope I don't have West Nile.

A graciously appointed interior. Compliments of General Motors, a top notch (yeah right) company. Posted by Hello

NYC, baby!

So we arrived back in Rochester yesterday after a fabulous weekend in New York City. We drove down Friday and camped out at Karl's mother's apartment in the city. Saturday brought a rendezvous with our friends Michael and Scott, brunch at Boxer's and dinner at Angelo's in Little Italy. The fettucine alfredo was top notch.

Sunday we had the pleasure of driving to Woodstock with Michael and Scott to look at weekend houses they are interested in purchasing. All I have to say is wow, more than I will probably make at work in a lifetime. We separated that night and managed to find our way to Tang Tang chinese restaurant for some yummy sesame chicken (of course!).

The long weekend was drawn to a close with a stop at Karl's mother's country house, in Woodridge, NY. It was a perfect day. The sun was shining and it was about 70 degrees. Great weather to just sit outside and have a bite to eat. We said our goodbyes and headed back to Rochester.

A great time had by all.

I couldn't forget me driving Michael's fatty BMW X5. Posted by Hello

Been Missin' You

I am still alive. It has been quite a hectic week with month end at a car dealership and all. For Labor Day we have the weekend plus Monday off. New York City is just screaming my name. Karl's mother has a mansion at East 75th and Park where we will be getting fanned by palm tree leaves and fed ripe juicy grapes.

We'll spend a couple of hours at Karl's ex-employer, JMK Saab, visiting with some people who I have yet to meet. We even get to be porch monkeys at his friend Michael's. He has an amazing place somewhere in the city (as you can see i'm not really too familiar with NYC) My digital camera will be worn out after this crazy weekend.
